Stephanie L. O’Brien received her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from Utah Valley University in 2005. During her undergraduate career, Ms. O’Brien worked full time as a legal assistant to a criminal and family law attorney where she gained invaluable skills and knowledge which motivated her to attend law school. She graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 2008, during which time she participated in trial competitions, received certificates of achievement for her exceptional performance and skills in the area of estate planning, and served as Vice President of the Women’s Law Caucus. During law school, Ms. O’Brien also completed a clerkship with the Children’s Justice Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office and a clerkship with the Senior Lawyer Volunteer Project at Utah Legal Services. After graduating from law school, she worked as an associate with a firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she practiced in the areas of general civil litigation, probate litigation, and guardianships.
Upon moving back to Utah, she opened her own practice in Midvale, Utah. Her current practice is comprised primarily of estate planning, general civil litigation, criminal litigation, family law, probate litigation and guardianships. In her personal time, Ms. O’Brien enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband and son.
